Redding is a very nice place to enjoy a slower pace of life and yet have all the needed amenities available. For people who like to spend time outdoors this is the perfect area. Lake Shasta is very close and offers boating, hiking, swimming and camping during the hot summer months. Mt Shasta has the best skiing available in this part of the state and is very close also. To get to Redding California by airplane one must take an airplane from their local airport to the Redding Municipal Airport. Redding, California is located in the county of Shasta and is known as the second sunniest city. It is advised to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to the airplane scheduled departure time. There are some great festivals and fairs in the Reading, Pennsylvania area. The first festival is the Berks Jazz Fest. The Berks Jazz Fest is a 10 day festival of great jazz music. People will travel from all of the world to come see the people who are playing at this festival. The second festival is the Berks Salsa Fest. Turtle Bay Bird Sanctuary – It may not look like much from the outside but birth enthusiasts love this place. Tucked away near the heart of the city this marshy tract of land houses some of the best-protected birds in Cali. Bring your binoculars!

Riverview Golf Club – If it’s a challenging 18 you’re itching for, look no further than Riverview. Just a few miles from downtown this well-maintained course isn’t always open to the public but it’s easy to find a group needing a fourth.

Cottonwood – Just south of Redding is the quaint town of Cottonwood, making a comeback in its own right. Stroll around the shopping district or grab lunch at one of the local joints. Make a day trip out of it but be back in Redding in time for dinner!
